Late 17th century
The interior for backgammon, brass escutcheon possibly later, replaced hinges
24½ x 20½in. (62.2 x 52.2cm.) open, 20½ x 12in. (52.2 x 30.5cm.) closed
And a turned bone Barleycorn pattern chess set, mid 19th century, stained red and natural, the kings -- 4¾in. (12cm.), the pawns -- 1 11/16in. (4.4cm.) high (2)
