AN ITALIAN SMALL-SWORD, AND A TRANSITIONAL RAPIER
Each 18th Century, the second probably Spanish
The first with slender etched blade inscribed 'Vive Le Roi' at the forte and with the arms of Savoy, the hilt of faceted steel with oval guard (quillon incomplete); the second with slender blade inscribed within the fullers 'Pedro Del Monte N Toledo', cut-steel hilt, cup-guard, symmetrical urn-shaped pommel, and brass-bound grip
