With belled iron barrel profusely decorated with silver symmetrical designs of scrollwork and foliage inhabited by birds, heightened at the muzzle with gilding, and retaining faint traces of the original lustrous blue ground, silver-encrusted tang, flat bevelled lock with stepped tail, roller, and rainproof pan, the plate inscribed 'IoNdon Waranted (sic)', the full stock entirely covered with gilt panels elaborately pierced and chased with scrolls and strapwork retained by tacks against a background of gilt sheet metal, silver-gilt mounts cast and chased in relief, silver-encrusted iron saddle-bar, false ramrod, and pierced muzzle-band
