A Pratt-type elephant money-box
Early 19th century, perhaps Yorkshire
The animal modelled standing on all fours, with trunk hanging down, a money-slot in its back, applied allover with cherubs in low relief, on an oval base impressed twice with the inscription SAVE ALL, sponged in black and ochre, some areas lightly enriched in green (slight chip to slot)
