A COLLECTION OF HOSPICES DE BEAUNE WINES SHIPPED DIRECTLY FROM THE CELLARS OF HENRI DE VILLAMONT

Since the first donation of vines to the Hospices de Beaune in 1457, the wine domaine has represented a vital part of this charitable establishment. The domaine is run by the hospital authorities and managed by a board of directors who define viticultural & vinification direction with emphasise on; respect for the environment, sustainable agriculture to ensure biodiversity, typicity of terroir and control of yields. Twenty-three vignerons cultivate on average 2.5 hectares each overseen by the regisseur. A new cuverie was built in 1993 with every oenological technology available. The thirty-nine cuvées, each bearing the name of its benefactor, are put into new oak barrels and sold at the Hospices de Beaune auction. The sale is held on the 3rd Sunday every November in the covered market in Beaune.
The following lots are a selection of Hospices de Beaune wines that have been matured in the spectacular cellars of Henri de Villamont and bottled in their ultra modern bottling unit in Beaune.
