A FRENCH 'JEWELLED' OPALINE DEEP-BLUE VASE
Circa 1845, probably Baccarat
Of baluster form, the trumpet mouth enriched in gilt, the shoulder painted with birds perched in branches within gilt scrolls above ruby 'jewelled' trellis, the body with three panels of gallants at various leisure pursuits in garden landscapes, within a similarly 'jewelled' surround above panels of flowers, reserved on the scrollwork patterned blue ground, on a knopped socle and stepped circular foot
