A POST SAFAVID CUERDA SECA TILE PANEL
Iran, 18th or 19th century
Comprising thirty-six square tiles, the white ground painted in cobalt-blue, turquoise, black, pink and yellow with curving floral sprays and palmettes on a yellow ground issuing from a central cusped blue medallion with white nasta'liq inscription, three sides with a blue border of meandering flowering vine, some chips and repairs, six tiles replaced
