A Sèvres style porcelain part dinner service
Late 19th century, spurious marked with red overglaze Château des Tuileries mark, blue overglaze interlaced LP mark flanked by Sèvres 1844, further with green overglaze Louis Philippe monogram mark
Gilt and painted in colours with a central medallion depicting the Louis Philippe crowned monogram surrounded by tied laurel wreaths and flanked by winged putti holding flowers, within a border of gilt foliage, the rim with trailing vine branch, comprising: fourteen deep plates with turquoise-ground border, 24 cm. diam.; six deep plates with pale yellow-ground border; twenty eight dinner plates with turquoise-ground border, 24 cm. diam.; sixteen dinner plates with pale yellow-ground border; a pair of dinner plates with strong yellow-ground border; a pair of dinner plates with dark blue-ground border; ten dessert plates with turquoise-ground border, 22.3 cm. diam.
