Lot Essay

The 18th Century French revival style was typical of the expensive hotels, led by those belonging to Caesar Ritz, springing up in the capital cities of Europe. The marine theme, small thick windows and floor like deck-boarding suggest that this may be a scheme for the restaurant on a luxury liner at the turn of the century.
