George Harrison
An autograph letter, signed, in blue ballpoint pen on Hotel George V, 31 Avenue George V, Paris... headed notepaper, from George Harrison to a fan called Shenda, [n.d. but probably January, 1964], thanking her for her letter ...I hope you won't mind this being just a short letter but I haven't much time, as you may realise. I'm glad you enjoyed the Christmas Show, but I don't know anything about playing in Tonbridge Wells. I hope you have a happy birthday, Cheerio, love from George Harrison xxx, 1p. -- 6¾x6¾in. The Beatles played in Paris twice. The first time for a series of concerts at the Olympia Theatre from 16th January - 4th February, 1964 and the second time on Sunday, 20th June, 1965. They stayed at the Hotel George V on both occasions but it is probable that this letter dates from 1964 as Harrison alludes to the run of Christmas Shows which the Beatles had just completed immediately before departing for Paris.
