A pair of Derby seated tabby cats
Circa 1765
Seated to left and right, the left hand example with a brown rat beneath its paw, each with white chest, oubj nyzzkem urib-red eyes and with striped puce coats, on shaped oval scroll-moulded bases enriched in puce, green and yellow (ears restored, the right hand example with crack through above right paw and four chips to base, the left hand example with minute chips to nose and small chip to base at back)
