A Delft blue and white shaped oval herring-dish ('Haringschaaltje')
Circa 1750, blue 10B/* mark for Johanna or Johannes de Bergh of the 'De Witte Starre' factory
Painted with two Oriental figures, one in a pavilion, the other with a bow and arrow aimed at a Buddhistic lion beneath a fruiting branch within a foliage-scroll and husk border (slight rim flaking)
