The deep bowl on ring foot, decorated in relief with an encircling figural composition, a bearded man with staff seated on a raised stool with sphinx arm-supports, in front a boar's head on a table and a standing youth with cloak over his shoulder, a group of travellers comprising a man leaning on his staff facing two seated men wearing caps, one with tall staff, behind a seated youth with shield at his side flanked by standing figures wearing caps, and a further two male figures, one resting with foot raised on a rock, his cloak and cap slung over his shoulder facing a seated youth with shield opposite, the maker's stamp RASIN in the field, the broad vertical carinated rim with two Dionysos mask appliqués and two figures of Eros, on ring foot

Kenrick, Corpus Vasorum Arretinorum: A catalogue of the signatures, shapes and chronology of Italian sigillata, 2nd ed., Bonn, 2000, p. 353, no. 1623, 8-17 for examples of the RASIN workshop stamp from Arezzo. This is thought to be the longest lasting Arezzo workshop at this period.
