Annesley, Royal West Kent Regiment, headed "Active Service, no stamps available", showing bi-lingual Wadi Halfa c.d.s., boxed "T" and "2½" handstamp. The letter describes his experiences including the defence of Ambigal - "Foe 2½ hours I was in command with only 32"; also a front of an envelope from the General to his son with part of the letter written on the inside.
