Each with padded rectangular seat covered in crimson and yellow patterned close-nailed silk, on shell-carved tapering baluster legs headed by floral collars, joined by a scrolling foliate X-form stretcher, on scrolled feet, regilt

Probably part of a set of eight stools sold from the collection of Sir John FitzGerald, Bt., MC Knight of Kerry, Christie's London, 8 December 1949, lot 101, and 24 November 1955, lot 43.
