AN INTERESTING 19TH CENTURY POSSIBLY BUILDER'S OR PROPOSAL MODEL FOR AN AUXILIARY 10-GUN SHIP, CIRCA [?]1850-1860
with collapsible masts, rigging, bowsprit, hawse pipes, wood-capped bulwarks, hand rails, lockers, bollards, anchor chain, main gun platform, coal shute covers, black painted stayed funnel, covered hatches and other details. The hull with scored deck with inlaid semi-circular tracks for gun posistions, open gun ports with open ports under, applied label with flag and '567' over, two blade brass propeller and rudder is finished in 'copper' below the waterline, black and lacquer, mounted on original cradle stand. Overall measurements -- 15½ x 33½in. (39.5 x 85cm.)
