Late 19th Century, black printed retailer's mark for John Mortlock & Son, Oxford Street and Pottery Galleries, Orchard Street and indistinct black printed registration lozenge mark
The large regal bird modelled with wings slightly raised, its neck curved back over its shoulders in an S-shape, the beak and eyes picked out in black and yellow, the plain white body incised allover with feathers, an open rectangular section to the bird's back, originally probably for another component
