A large German porcelain six-light candelabrum
Circa 1880
Modelled as a stylised pink and turquoise palm-tree enriched in gilding terminating with a tall finial of up-turned leaves and a bouquet of flowers, the foliage issuing six detachable double-scroll arms applied with meandering flowering branches and terminating in fixed foliate nozzles, the rocaille and scroll-moulded lower part applied with large flowering branches and three pairs of putti emblematic of Spring, Summer and Autumn, each scantily clad boy and his companion seated between an scrollwork between three large dolphin feet
