signed with monogram and dated '1909' (on the base) and inscribed with title 'Beatitudo Baruch de Spinoza' (on the side of the base), and inscribed with foundry mark 'fonderie natle des bronzes/J Petermann/St Gilles-Bruxelles' (along the edge of the base)
