"with signature..."/"with date..."/"with inscription...", in our opinion the signature/date/inscription appears to be by a hand other than that of the artist. The date is the date (or approximate date when prefixed with circa) on which the matrix was worked and not necessarily the date when the impression was printed or published. Measurements are taken, where possible, from the platemark ('P'), otherwise they record the size of the sheet ('S'), or the borderline of the subject ('L'). Lots are sold unframed, unless otherwise stated.
