27-70Q, with circular nickel-finished lever movement, 24 jewels, Gyromax balance, free sprung regulator, movement stamped with the Seal of Geneva, the pink brushed dial with applied baton and square-shaped diamond indexes, luminous accents to the pink gold feuille hands, day and month apertures, two engine-turned subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds with 24-hour display and 30 minute register with leap year indicator, aperture indicating phases of the moon combined with date, the large cushion-shaped case with diamond-set bezel and lugs, sapphire crystal snap on back displaying the movement (No. 2994203 Ref. 5021), two round chronograph buttons in the band, together with an 18K pink gold Patek Philippe buckle, additional 18K pink gold solid snap on back, 18K gold and wooden setting pin, accompanied by Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin, booklets, maroon leather folder, original fitted presentation box and outer packaging, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Patek Philippe reference 5021 is one of the rarest perpetual calendar chronograph wristwatch models produced by the firm in recent years. It is nearly identical to reference 5020 - the difference being the diamond-set case.

This is the first example to be offered at auction and one of the only made in 18K pink gold with a diamond-set pink dial.
