With nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, the black dial (aged to brown) with applied luminous dots towards the applied silvered dagger indexes, luminous accents to the silvered alpha hands, outer telemeter and tachometer scales, three large engine-turned subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds, 30 minute and 12 hour registers, the circular water-resistant-type case with raised bezel, screw back and screw down crown, two round chronograph buttons in the band, together with a stainless steel Rolex buckle, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Examples of reference 6034 with black dials are extremely rare. It is not uncommon for Rolex wristwatches with black dials from the 1950s to age or discolor to brown.
