With nickel-finished jewelled lever movement, the silvered matte dial with applied luminous dots towards the applied gilt Arabic and dagger numerals, outer ring calibrated for date with corresponding blued steel central date hand, day and month apertures, subsidiary dial indicating constant seconds combined with phases of the moon, luminous accents to the gilt alpha hands, the tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with calendar correctors in the band, screw back and screw down crown, together with a stainless steel Rolex Jubilee bracelet and clasp, case, dial and movement signed
36 mm. diam.

Lot Essay

Rolex has offered only two different models of moonphase wristwatches, references 8171 and 6062. Both models are automatic, however reference 8171 has a snap on back, while reference 6062, the Oyster version, has a water-resistant-type screw back.
