Lot Essay

The present lot is distinguished by the original two-tone star dial, which has taken on a warm patina over time.

A similar example of reference 6062 with star dial is illustrated in The Best of Time - Rolex Wristwatches, by James M. Dowling & Jeffrey P. Hess, p. 204.

For a catalogue note on reference 6062 and an example in stainless steel, see the previous lot in this sale.
