Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste--Vintage 1982
Pauillac, 5me cru classé
Levels: Seven bottom neck or better, four very top and one upper/top shoulder. Labels are bin-soiled and stained.
Deep, dark red color, still looking so young. It has an fabulous juicy ripe plum nose, very fragrant. A gloriously rich & balanced wine; great purity of flavour, long dry finish. I know Robert Parker rates this as one of the greatest wines ever made at this Château and I couldn't agree more. Outstanding claret with a decade or two in hand. Mar 2002 DW
