Levels: three very top and seven top shoulder; bin soiled labels
The core with a mature brick colour, hint of orange on the rim. At first the is packed full of ripe blackcurrants; as always mature Lafite develops brilliantly with time; after 30 minutes very complex. Well balanced, even; very elegant and refined fruit with time; lots of flavour; nice hint of dryness on the long finish. A very fine '66. Drink now. Oct 2002 DW
