attributed to P. Siegler (fl. 1811-1812), indistinctly marked, Paris, circa 1811/1812
Circular spy-glass with six tapering silver-gilt plated tiers, the sides of the base ring inlaid with rectangular mother-of-pearl plaques, and bordered by gilt-metal mounts stamped with beads alternating with palmettes; within the fitted original blue plush-lined red morocco case gilt-stamped with rings and initial 'N' surmounted by a princely crown
