A SOUTH ARABIAN STONE FIGURE
Bronze Age, Circa 3rd-Early 2nd Millennium B.C.
The standing abstract figure with the arms folded in front at the waist, a raised ridge encircling below, perhaps a belt, and an angled raised ridge over the right shoulder, perhaps a sash or the edge of a garment, with sharply angled shoulders and a shallow groove separating the legs, dividing at the pubic area, the small head with a slightly raised mass for the hair and ears, the face a raised spade-shape with a straight vertical nose and indented eyes

Similar stone statues, some described as granite, others as sandstone/quartzite, have been found on the surface in the Yemeni highlands.
