A Shibayama-style four-case inro
19th Century
inlaid in mother-of-pearl, wood, coral, horn and stained ivory with birds amongst flowering branches, with matching ojime bead and kagamibuta -- 3¾in. (9.5cm.) high; another smaller similar ivory three-case inro decorated with birds amongst flowering branches, with matching kagamibuta and glass ojime -- 2 3/8in. (6cm.) high; and a lacquer five-case inro decorated with fan-shaped panels within crackled egg-shell borders and white metal sides, agate ojime bead and a wood Okame mask netsuke -- 4in. (10.1cm.) high, (losses to inlay).
