Maker's mark only JS, possibly for John LeSage, circa 1750
On slightly domed pedestal foot with moulded borders, the mounts with acanthus and foliate scroll borders, the upper mount with a band of grapevines, female masks and vacant cartouches on a reeded ground, the body applied with a foliate scroll cartouche engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked on upper border with maker's mark only, struck twice
