A HAIDA WOOD AND IVORY WALKING STICK**

with slender shaft of slightly expanding cylindrical section, probably carved of yew, with a series of raised knots spiraling around the length and entwined at top with a sea mammal, probably a seal or sea lion, its face and body depicted in profile with formline design, the eye inset with circular abalone disk, and the stippled body with a series of four abalone disks, surmounted by a sterling silver ferrule, finely engraved with a formline raven, and walrus ivory handle, in the form of a human hand grasping a whale, with circular eyes and formline design incorporating circular motifs on the fluke, the shaft inscribed, North American Indian, the ferrule and the handle attributed to Charles Edenshaw
