the first, in two sections with cylindrical mouthpiece expanding to curving shaft of octagonal section, with red and black linear designs, three bands of black circular elements, and a small animal, the shaft surmounted by a walrus carved in relief; the second, probably St. Michael's area, with expanding shaft, engraved on both sides with scenes of Arctic life, some geometrical details, surmounted by a separately carved bowl
