The Lacquered Parts Momoyama Period (Late 16th-Early 17th Century), the glass 19th Century
The frame made up of sections from a Momoyama-period export-lacquer chest, consisting of four lengths of timber decorated in black lacquer, gold hiramaki-e and shell inlay with a typical continuous floral geometric pattern, with an added outer frame, the four corners lapped and mitred, with a bevelled mirror
