An Imari tureen, cover and dish
Edo Period (Late 17th century)
Decorated in iron-red, green, yellow, aubergine, black enamels and gilt on underglaze blue with long-tailed pheasants perched in branches of chestnut trees, the dish with a crack
Tureen: 12½in. (32cm.) diam.; Dish: 17¾in. (45cm.) diam.
