Qianlong (1736-95), the brass stand designed by Pierre Delbée of Maison Jansen, Paris, circa 1965
Painted to the interior with a butterfly in flight above peonies and grasses, the exterior with scattered sprays of flowers beneath a border of pomegranates, scrolling foliage and geometric motifs, the everted rim with flowerheads on a hatch pattern ground, on a later brass stand with square tapering legs with spade feet and central tap fitment for drainage
