A Continental white biscuit figure of a putto
19th Century, bearing a Buen Retiro blue fleur de lays mark to back of base
In a startled pose with its left hand drawn back, scantily clad with a robe loosely draped about its loins, a snail crawling up its right leg, seated on rocks clad with ferns and ivy and an oak tree to the right, on a shaped oval grassy mound supported by an elaborate glazed scrolling strapwork navette-shaped base centred by a biscuit tragic theatrical mask (the putto and rockwork with extensive restoration, right little finger lacking, probably cracked through base and restored, gilding on strapwork almost entirely worn away)
