The back and sides with openwork ferns and clusters of blackberries, the reverse stamped No.1136.., later slats, repainted grey overall

Lot Essay

The design for this seat was registered and patented by the Coalbrookdale Iron Foundry at the Public Record Office on 30th April 1858 and is seat number 29 in their 1875 Coalbrookdale Castings Catalogue, Section III, page 254.
