A pair of massive famille rose Cantonese baluster vases
19th century
with moulded handles of shrews amongst fruiting vines and moulded guei dragons to the shoulders, painted and gilt with large panels of dignitaries gathered on terraces, on grounds of bats and exotic birds amongst scattered fruit and flower sprays -- 52¼in. (132.6cms) high, wood stands with carved paw feet, (two shrews with chip to one ear).
