A Vienna group emblematic of Winter
Circa 1760-65, blue shield mark and incised X
With two gentlemen in fur-lined coats and hats helping a lady to put on her skates, one holding her right hand, the other kneeling on a rock with his left knee and tying a skate on her raised left foot, on a shaped oval mound base edged with a gilt line and scroll border (restoration to her right thumb and one gentleman's left shoulder, chipping to ribbons, slight flaking to enamels, slight wear to silvering and gilding)
