A Meissen group of a pug-dog and a puppy Circa 1745
Modelled by J.J. Kändler to the right with its head turned to its left, a pink collar tied about its neck with a pink bow at the back, with a black muzzle, orange and black eyes, finely incised, its head, back and tail with dark-brown markings, seated on its haunches and suckling a puppy, on a shaped oval mound base applied with flowers and foliage (base adjacent to tail broken through and restored, tail restuck with associated restoration to lower back, restoration to ears, bow, right shoulder, flowers and foliage, some wear and flaking to enamels, firing crack down centre of chest)
