Lot Essay

This drawing is typical of Bison's refined work in bodycolour. Similar ones were sold in these Rooms, 2 July 1991, lot 296a and 7 July 1998, lot 163. The type of paper used by Bison suggests that this drawing was executed early in his career in Venice.
