There is a fitted baseplate on which the microscope sits to be slid into the case. The case has a brass carrying handle. Accessories include two objectives in cans engraved on the lid 1 and 3 (there is only space for these two objectives in the case); two eyepieces; a quantity of unused glass slides; and a small textured-paper covered box with brass hook and eye containing four and half small paper-covered slide preparations.
