The paper-covered slide-rule tube sliding over the main mahogany cylinder, with brass index and scale and a mahogany handle, in the original mahogany case with a removable brass rod on a mount at the end of the case, a repair label in the lid, and photocopied instructions for use, the case - 18 in. (45.7 cm.) wide; and

OPTICIANS 3 ARGYLL PLACE REGENT ST W with three toothed wheels within the tin body corresponding to pounds, shillings and pence, moved by means of a small turned ivorine turning stick and showing their respective values in one of three small windows, a fourth window for the total, adjusted by means of a brass turning screw, in a fitted blue plush-lined and leatherette-covered case, the lid lined in blue silk with The British Calculator H.J.
