The first with straight flattened fluted double-edged blade widening at the ricasso, and characteristic steel hilt, the ricasso and hilt retaining some gold-damascened decoration (rust-patinated overall); the second with broad single-edged blade with pronounced back-edge, the hilt of lightly engraved steel with pronounced stalk on the pommel, and red velvet lining; the third with brass-mounted hilt with horn grip-scales, in leather-covered scabbard with chased white-metal mounts
