With curved fullered round-backed blade, hollowed above the point, deeply etched for approximately half its length with various hieroglyphics, mameluke hilt with cast gilt foliate decoration to the crosspiece, curved quillons with oval finials, gilt knuckle-chain and horn grips (one sheared across the eye-hole, the other inaccurately fitted), in its leather scabbard with ornate cast gilt-brass mounts
