Silver hallmarks for Paris, 1739(?)
With tapering blade of hollow triangular section (minor rust-staining), the hilt cast and chased throughout in low relief on a punched ground with rocailles involving grotesque beasts, the grip cast in silver in imitation of one bound with plaited silver wire, and with a central rosette on each side, silver maker's mark IC
