AN ENGLISH SILVER-HILTED SMALL-SWORD
London silver hallmarks for 1768
With tapering blade of hollow triangular section retaining much of its etched, blued and gilt decoration throughout its length (some pitting and surface rust), the hilt with shaped oval shell with pierced border, decorated throughout with fine pierced lace-like scrolls, and with original grip bound with silver ribbon and plaited silver wire, silversmith's mark probably that of John Radborn
