The central figures are repeated in two other works by Horemans, a practice not uncommon in his oeuvre, including that sold, Sotheby's, New York, 12 January 1995, lot 130 ($28,000), and that sold, Christie's, New York, 31 January 1997, lot 177 ($21,850).
