A SET OF THREE PAIRS OF ITALIAN POLYCHROME PAINTED AND PARCEL GILT DOORS,
second half 19th century,
comprising one large pair and two smaller pairs of the same size, all with coffered panels painted with grotesques, the reverse of the larger doors with hexagonal panels painted with still lifes and a coat of arms possibly suggesting that they were made for Prince Alessandro Torlonia of Civitella-Cesi, Musignano, di Canino and Princesse Teresa, daughter of Prince Colonna Doria, who married in 1840, the reverse of the smaller with green paint, the ormolu handles depicting adorsed dragons centered by a crowned coat of arms with a cipher, the accession number in red paint 57.45 B, the hinges variously stamped ST
