the dish: mark of Charles Stuart Harris, London, 1898
of oval swirl-fluted form, with cast figural side handles, 27cm (10¾in) incl. handles, 12oz; the salt of oval boat-shaped form with thread mounts, crested, Mark of Peter Carter, London, 1796, 3oz; and a Georgian counter box, maker's mark only inside lid William and Aaron Lestourgeon, c.1768, the lid engraved with a crest over initials and motto FORTUNA SEQUATUR (for Gordon), 4cm (1 5/8in) long.
